Description: Alta Alpina Riders, On April 27-29, 2012, I will participate in an inspiring event honoring our nation's wounded servicemen and women. World T.E.A.M. Sports, a 25-year-old not-for profit organization, will host its 2012 Face of America Bike Ride. This two-day bike ride from the Pentagon at our Nation‚s Capitol to the historic battlefields of Gettysburg, Pennsylvania will honor our military - injured, veterans and active duty ˜ and the true American Spirit. Like all World T.E.A.M. Sports events, the Face of America teams disabled and non-disabled athletes to provide inspiration to all Americans. Everybody, disabled or non-disabled, is encouraged to join as a participant in this wonderful event. If you can‚t join me in participating, you can still show your support for our disabled servicemen and women by making a contribution. As a participant, I have agreed to raise funds through my ride. You can make a contribution to support me by clicking on the URL below. There is no charge for any disabled servicemen or women. Your donation will be applied to paying their event costs, including accommodations, food, bikes and other expenses associated with the ride. World T.E.A.M. Description: The annual spring century date has been set for Sunday May 27,2012, mark it on your calendars. Route will be same as last year. Short course out 395 and over Monitor and back. Long course continue to Kingsbury and Luther and back down through Woodfords. More details and specifis will be provided as the ride gets closer

Description: Sacramento Wheelmen\'s 37th annual ride, \"The Slug is Back\", returns to Amador County on June 16, 2012. They were nice enough to promote our ride, Wild Sierra to their club members so we are returning the favor and asking our members to consider riding the \"Slug\" as a training ride for Wild Sierra. Slug Gulch is a well-known climb for the century and double metric riders. Three routes offered: metric with 4500 feet, century with 7400 feet, double metric with 10,000 feet. Registration opens January 15, 2012 and limited to 1500 riders. Includes continental breakfast, stocked rest-stops, SAG and post ride meal. For more info visit sierracentury.org
